Colonel William T. Ewing

Colonel William T. Ewing is a native of western Kentucky. He received his commission as a Military Intelligence Officer from the Kentucky Military Academy in 1994. He is a graduate of the Armor Officer Basic, Military Intelligence Officer Transition Course, Signal Officer Advanced Course, Command and General Staff College, the Advanced Operations Course and the United States Army War College.

COL Ewing started his military career as an enlisted Marine in 1985, where he served as a Sergeant, Infantry Squad Leader with Co G, 3/24th Marines in Operation Desert Storm. His first U. S. Army assignment was as a Battalion Intelligence Collection Officer with 1/123 AR BN, Ft Knox, KY.

COL Ewing’s assignments include; the Director of the Army Global Modernization Team 2019 - 2022, the Deputy Chief of Staff of Information Management, Kentucky Army National Guard 2015 - 2019, Team Chief, Agribusiness Development Team Chief for Panjshir and Kapisa Provinces in Afghanistan, 82nd Airborne Division, 2009- 2010 and G6 Embedded Tactical Trainer to the 205th Corps Afghan National Army, Kandahar 2004 – 2005. Other assignments include assistant S3, 149th BDE; Computer Network Defense Team Chief JFHQS-KY, and Network Operations Chief, JFHQS-KY.

His command assignments include; Commander, D Company, 1st Battalion, 123rd Armor, 149th BDE, 35 Infantry Division and Commander, 1st BN, 75th Troop Command, JFHQS-KY.

Colonel Ewing holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, Carlisle. PA. COL Ewing’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with 3 OLC, the OEF Campaign Medal, Kuwaiti Liberation Medal, and the Combat Action Badge.
