Colonel Timothy P. Norton

Colonel Tim Norton assumed his current position as the Chief of Staff on March 1, 2017. His previous assignment was as the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3 for the 5th Signal Command (Theater) in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Colonel Norton was commissioned in the Army as a Signal Officer after graduating from Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of the Signal Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Army Command and General Staff College, and the School of Advanced Military Studies. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Webster University and a Master of Arts degree in Military Art and Science from the Army Command and General Staff College.

Colonel Norton previously served as Chief, Tactical C4 Division for U.S. Army Forces Command G6. Executive Officer to the Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Forces Command. Commander, 4th Special Troops Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Other assignments include tours of duty with the 4th Infantry Division, 1st Armored Division, V Corps Artillery, and 3rd U.S. Army/ARCENT. He has served operational tours in Iraq and Bosnia.

Colonel Norton has been awarded the Bronze Star Medal (2 OCL) and various other awards and decorations.
